Non Sports Thought - The death of Michael Jackson has not worked out for me personally as well as I thought

Well I definitely didn't see this coming.

When he died suddenly in the summer i thought great! there will be a couple of weeks of media overkill I can pretty safely ignore and then you know he would completely disappear from the pop landscape, and in 20 years i'd hear his name and think "hey didn't he walk the dinosaur or sing can't touch this or something" and then not think about it again for another 20 years.

But it keeps going on.

It's like that old Saturday Night Live sketch, but much, much worse.
